Air Quality Report for Nov 27th, 2020
Air Quality Report for Nov 27th, 2020

Water vapor this Friday morning shows an area of low pressure moving through Arizona. This system even brought a bit of snow to northern and eastern Arizona overnight into this morning. No rain in Phoenix, but the system has brought more cool air into the region, with forecast high temperatures only in the mid to upper 60s today.

Tomorrow into the first part of next week, overall, high pressure will build back into the region, but a weak disturbance will move through the state Sunday. For the most part expecting light winds, no chance of rain, and afternoon high temperatures rising back into the mid-70s by Sunday into Monday.

With lighter winds in the forecast this weekend and stronger morning inversions, expecting both PM-10 and PM-2.5 to be in the Moderate AQI category, with the highest concentrations in the morning hours. We may see a brief increase in easterly winds Monday morning, which would help break up the inversion and keep both PM-10 and PM-2.5 concentrations slightly lower than they would otherwise be.
