Officer-Involved Shooting at 19th Ave & Indian School
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating another officer-involved shooting near 19th Ave & Indian School. The incident happened shortly before 6:00 am when police officers saw a man and woman fighting.
According to police, when the officers approached the man, he pulled out a gun and took off running through a parking lot and toward traffic on 19th Ave.
No reason was given why officers shot the suspect but, the officers fired their weapons striking the suspect. First Responders put a tourniquet on the man and transported him to a local hospital. The suspect is in critical but stable condition.

No information has been released on who the suspect is or what he will be charged with.
The Phoenix Police Department has a long history of questionable deadly force. According to the Phoenix Police Department’s own internal investigation on the use of deadly force, the number of officer-involved shootings is on the rise. Today’s incident is the 42nd officer-involved shooting in the Valley this year.
