Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) Closed East of I-10 (Nov. 14-15)


Drivers should consider alternate routes including Ray Road or Chandler Boulevard. Sections of Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) east of Interstate 10 in the Chandler area will be closed this weekend (Nov. 14-15) for lane striping and overhead utility line work, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers should consider alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:

  • Westbound Loop 202 closed between Loop 101 (Price Freeway) and I-10 from 8 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 15) for lane striping. Southbound Loop 101 ramp to westbound Loop 202 closed. Westbound Loop 202 on-ramp at Alma School Road closed. DETOUR: Alternate routes include northbound Loop 101 to westbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) to reach I-10. Local routes include westbound Ray Road.
  • Eastbound Loop 202 closed between I-10 and Kyrene Road from 3 a.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 15) for overhead utility line work. All ramps from I-10 to eastbound Loop 202 closed. DETOUR: Consider alternate routes including Ray Road and Chandler Boulevard. Eastbound Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) ramps to I-10 will remain open. Drivers on eastbound South Mountain Freeway who want to travel east of I-10 can consider alternate routes including eastbound Chandler Boulevard.
