Cold Days Ahead for Phoenix

Expect cold days ahead as a front swept across the valley overnight bringing light rain and mountain snow with a shot of cold air. Much of the system has pushed east of the region with only the upper-level low moving across the state into this evening.

The coming days will be well-below average daytime temperatures (60s-70s) and frigid overnight lows (30s-40s). Daily highs will begin to rebound after mid-week but more weather forecasted for the Desert Southwest will keep the valley firmly in the 70s.

Today will have mostly sunny skies with afternoon temperatures only warming into the 60˚F-63˚F range around the Valley. Winds will be out of the west/northwest into the 3-8mph range.

Overnight lows will be chilly dipping into the mid-40s around the urban corridor and low 40s to upper 30s across outlying communities. It’s probably a good idea to keep pets and sensitive plants indoors overnight.

Tomorrow’s forecast a near repeat of today with mostly sunny skies and cold temperatures. Daytime will remain in the 63˚F-65˚F range around the Valley. Variable winds will be light in the afternoon/evening and gusting around 10mph.

Overnight lows into Wednesday morning will again be quite chilly reaching the 40s and perhaps upper 30s in some spots. Expect temperatures to rebound into the low 70s on Veteran’s Day under mainly sunny skies.
